CONN ACOUSTIC CLASSICAL (NYLON-STRING) GUITARS

KNOWN MODELS OF CONN CLASSICAL GUITARS

Several models were produced--most in Japan and some in Korea, and several unbranded prototype models were made in the USA. Those prototypes are considered the rarest and most feature all solid woods and all but a few have no name-brand on them. It would be hard to distinguish most of these. A STATS sheet is included below with information only on known models, and known prototypes

Identify your classical model by the rosette--NOW ACTIVE!!!

Almost every Conn Classical guitar can be identified by the design of the rosette. Below is a picture of different classical guitars' rosettes. The picture is a link which will open up a spreadsheet of rosettes marked with their respective model number. Enjoy identifying your model with a missing label!  NOTE: C-7a and C-23 have no photo.

STATISTICS SHEET and DIFFERENCES (copyright 2006-2024

Below is a link to an Excel spreadsheet with known specifications on the various models. Included in one tab is an average selling-price sheet and, where available, an original owner's invoice. For classical guitars there is a tab that contains the rosette--the primary method for distinguishing between models. Click on the below picture to see the spreadsheet. You can download a copy for your personal use. This is my personal work, so distribution or putting this information on any other web site is prohibited. Placing a link on any site and charging a fee to access it is also prohibited.  Although it is difficult to keep an ongoing and accurate listing of selling prices, I have done this for some time, but it is a daunting task to keep it up to date.  So when you consult pricing, you may be looking at 2-3 year-old data. Still it is a good guideline. Prices for Conn guitars has crept slowly upward over the past 10 years as the public has become aware of the good quality of these guitars.

This screen shot is actually a link to an Excel spreadsheet containing stats, historical actual selling prices and other useful information for Conn acoustic guitars. Click on it to open it.
